Vibe coding means building an application by describing it in plain language to an AI coding assistant. In this workshop, your staff, developers or not, build a small internal tool that actually works: a request form, a calculator, a tracking sheet. Above all, they learn the guardrails: what never to paste into the tool, how to review what it generates and when to hand over to a developer.

Who it is for

  • Business staff with tool ideas but no coding skills
  • Developers who want to use AI coding assistants in a controlled way
  • IT managers who want to channel tools built outside IT
  • Innovation teams in SMEs, professional firms and non-profits

What you get

  • One working internal tool or prototype per participant or pair
  • A method to describe a need clearly and iterate
  • Security checklist: secrets, personal data, dependencies
  • Decision grid: keep, improve or hand over to a developer
  • Structured backlog to turn the prototype into a project

How it runs

  1. 1

    Choosing what to build

Each participant or pair brings a small, concrete need, for example a leave tracker for a Brussels non-profit. We trim it down to a version that can be built in a few hours.

  2. 2

    Getting started with assistants

Demo of AI coding assistants, for example Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, Bolt or v0, and choice of the right tool for each profile, with no commercial bias.

  3. 3

    Security rules

What never goes into an assistant: passwords, API keys, customer or personal data. We work with synthetic data, in line with the GDPR.

  4. 4

    Guided build

Participants describe, test and fix their tool in short iterations, with a coach who steps in when the AI goes round in circles.

  5. 5

    Review and checks

Critical reading of the generated code: access, input validation, dependencies, data storage. Working does not mean safe.

  6. 6

    From prototype to backlog

Each tool is assessed: personal use, internal improvement or handover to a developer. Needs are turned into a prioritised backlog.

Formats

  • Half day: discovery and a first working tool
  • Full day: more advanced tool, code review and backlog
  • On-site or remote, on laptops
  • 6 to 16 participants

Prerequisites : One laptop per participant and a small, concrete need in mind; no coding knowledge is required.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The workshop is designed for business profiles. Developers get a lot out of it too, especially on code review and fitting these tools into their practice.

Can a vibe-coded tool go into production?

Sometimes, for low-risk personal or team use. As soon as a tool touches personal data, customers or critical systems, a developer must review it and take it over. The workshop teaches you to tell the difference.

Which tools do you use?

We choose based on your context and internal rules: assistants built into the code editor or app builders running in the browser. Accounts and licences are checked with you before the workshop.
