For business owners, legal staff and IT or quality managers who need to understand what the AI Act changes for their company. The training starts from your actual AI tools and projects, classifies them by risk level and derives the obligations that apply to you. You leave with an inventory and a prioritised roadmap.
Who it is for
- Leadership and compliance officers
- IT, quality and innovation managers
- SMEs building AI features into their products
- Legal staff and DPOs following the topic
What you get
- Determine for each system whether the company is a provider, a deployer or both
- Classify an AI system according to the AI Act risk levels
- List the applicable obligations and assign internal owners
- Recognise prohibited practices and transparency cases
- Build a realistic compliance roadmap
How it runs
- 1
The AI Act in plain terms
Purpose, scope, roles (provider, deployer, importer, distributor) and the phased application timeline.
- 2
Inventory of your AI systems
In a workshop, each participant lists the tools and projects of their department. We separate AI embedded in software from AI built in-house.
- 3
Classification by risk level
Classification exercises on your cases: unacceptable risk, high risk, transparency obligations, minimal risk.
- 4
Obligations and governance
AI literacy (article 4), transparency, human oversight, documentation, supplier relations. Who does what in the company.
- 5
Link with GDPR
Personal data, impact assessments and informing individuals: what overlaps and what comes on top.
- 6
Roadmap
In small groups, actions are prioritised by risk and effort, then discussed with leadership.
Formats
- In-company, on-site anywhere in Belgium
- Remote or hybrid via Teams
- 1 day for the fundamentals, 2 days with a classification workshop on your systems
Prerequisites : No legal background needed; a list of the AI tools you use or plan to use makes the training more useful.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the AI Literacy Programme?
The AI Literacy Programme trains all staff in safe use (article 4). This training is for the people steering compliance: classification, obligations and roadmap.
We only use off-the-shelf tools. Does the AI Act apply to us?
Most likely yes, as a deployer, usually with lighter obligations than providers. The training helps you pin down exactly which ones apply to you.
Can the AI Act timeline still change?
Obligations apply in stages, and some details are still being discussed at European level. The content is updated before each session in line with the texts in force.
